Major Kurt Angle/TNA/MMA Update, Backstage Heat, More

Source(s): Wrestling Observer Newsletter, TNAWrestlingNews.com

The World Fighting Alliance recently contacted TNA regarding what some believe to be a proposed cross-promotional deal. WFA has displayed interest in working with Kurt Angle, so the presumption is that the two companies would promote a feud that culminates in the Olympic Gold medalist fighting in a mixed martial arts bout, although that is only insider speculation and not a confirmed fact. Both Kurt Angle vs. Bob Sapp and Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Puder have been talked about within the MMA industry, but a deal for neither fight appears imminent. It was announced Monday that WFA delayed its planned 12/9 event, scheduled to be headlined by Marvin Eastman vs. Quinton Jackson, until a date in early 2007.

TNA is not happy with the work of ring announcer David Penzer, thus the reason you don’t see him on television.
