Dusty Rhodes turns 61 years old today. I was a bit surprised Rhodes wasn’t named lead writer on the Smackdown side since he’s been on the writing staff for awhile now. Apparently, he considered an “idea guy” more than anything else.
Today is also former WWWF grappler and AWA world champion Stan Hansen’s birthday. Hansen turns 57 today. Happy birthday to both legends.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Mick Foley is finishing up his third wrestling autobiography, picking up where he left off from “Foley is Good.”
Speaking of books, Bret Hart’s autobiography is finished. It is said to be around 900 pages long. Random House Canada has the Canadian rights to the book, and it will be interesting to see how it is edited.
