More On Jordan’s Release, Miz Update, Flair’s Contract

In regards to Orlando Jordan’s release last week, WWE’s official stance is that they didn’t see enough potential in him to warrant a spot on the roster. However, the backstage belief is that he was released because he was constantly bringing a male friend without authorization on recent trips.

Former Tough Enough 4 competitor Ryan Reeves, who was just starting to get a push in OVW, broke his thumb after throwing a punch. He will be out of action for an undetermined amount of time.

As noted, Paul Birchill’s pirate gimmick is being dropped. He will be out of action for a few weeks due to an injury.

In a bit of a correction, Ric Flair didn’t sign a new contract with WWE. He simply signed a one year extension on his existing deal.
