ECW News: Velocity Replaced, Canada TV?, & More News

Ryan Clark

There has been no official decision made as to whether ECW’s new weekly TV series on the Sci Fi Network will air live or on a tape delay (live to tape format). ECW, which officially debuts on the Sci Fi Channel on June 13 from Trenton, NJ, was listed as a “live” series in the press release issued earlier today. However, WWE is known for labeling all events as “live” such as SmackDown that are pre-taped.

For fans in Canada wondering, we have been told that negotiations are ongoing for a Canadian ECW timeslot. No official carrier has been rumored yet, but when it does we will be sure to send word.

As reported on many times, the new ECW series will be replacing WWE Velocity in all international markets.
