This past week’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown scored a 2.5 broadcast rating, with a 4.6 share. Not the best of ratings for SmackDown.
Both RAW and SmackDown brands are on their way to Europe for their tour of the continent, which starts tomorrow in Italy and runs through April 26. All tours have recently been sellouts and it has been a big money earner for WWE. If anyone will be attending these shows around Europe we’ll appreciate reports from the events.
WWE made the Sports Illustrated website yesterday, under their “Signs of the Apocalypse” feature. They wrote, “In promoting its April 30 pay-per-view event, World Wrestling Entertainment is advertising a tag-team match in which God will team with Shawn McMichaels (sic) to face Vince McMahon and his son Shane McMahon. The event, by the way, is on a Sunday.”
