Information On A Referee Training Course In England

» On March 19th 2006 IPW:UK will present and offer fans for the first time the opportunity to train to be in the wrestling business, in the form of a referee. This seminar will last three hours from 1pm until 4pm, will be run by IPW:UK and FWA referee Andy Quildan, and includes but is not limited to:

– Whole group training on the roles of a referee during a match.



– How to conduct, position and react during a match.



– Matches will take place with one trainee acting as the referee. The rest of the group will then give critique.



– Activities/games testing the skills learnt during the seminar.

Trainer Andy Quildan was himself trained by the founder of the Frontier Wrestling Alliance (FWA), Mark Sloan, widely considered to be one of the best trainers in England. Quildan has had experience working for multiple promotions across the country, has worked for SuperShow promoters Showstealer Events, as well as working for wXw in Germany. On February 19th, Andy will be refereeing for Southern Californian promotion Pro Wrestling Guerrilla when they come to England.

Any top prospects will potentially be offered the opportunity referee a match (or matches) for IPW:UK in 2006.
