According to PWTorch.com, Eric Bischoff was told that his removal from the RAW General Manager position was not, by any means, a punishment.
However, he is not aware of any plans to return to television.
Vince and Stephanie McMahon both expressed their appreciation for the work he’d been doing but gave him no indication of when he would be back on the air.
For the time being, he remains under a $200,000/year television contract, although it is possible his deal will not be renewed when its expiration comes up. A number of former WCW wrestlers who were released by Bischoff would take great satisfaction in Bischoff’s run with WWE coming to an end.
