Apparently the announce team situation that was first reported earlier today is being taken seriously by many backstage within WWE. There has been talk for about three weeks now that Jim Ross may be removed from the announce team.
There are conflicting reports right now from different sides with some noting that Vince McMahon is happy with the current announce team and noted that if changes were being made, they would have been done before the USA Network return. Other sides report that WWE has been considering the move and have even been in talks with UFC announcer Mike Goldberg about accepting the position.
Removing Jim Ross from the announce team would also not make many long-time WWE fans happy although Ross has said he wants to lighten his schedule. Ross only travels to RAW and his presence in the office is limited.
