WWE News: Mick Foley, The Rock, Warrior, & More

California’s American Chronicle has a story on The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior. The author notes “It’s interesting to see Hunter speak derogatory statements about the Ultimate Warrior being unprofessional and greedy; yet, Hunter has a history of being those very things, unprofessional and greedy.”

The Camden Courier Post ran a story today on Mick Foley’s autograph signing at the Philadelphia Phillies game last night. Speaking of that, here is a recap we got: During one of the Phillie Phanatic’s between inning performances, the Phanatic came out in full body wrestling attire and had a face-off with a guy in a vintage Phillies jersey. They circled a few times as if to lock-up when out of nowhere comes Mick Foley out of the visitor’s dugout! He sneaks up behind the guy in the jersey, slips on Mr. Socko, and gives him the Mandible Claw! After a couple seconds the guy was laid out and Mick proceeded to give the fans a vintage “Bang Bang!” At this point the PA announcer welcomed former WWE Champion Mick Foley to the park. He received a lukewarm reception. (I’m not sure many people realized what had happened on the field or who Mick Foley even really was.) Mick jumped with the Phanatic on the back of his quad and rode from the third base side around the inside of the infield out through a right field exit. Mick received some applause as he rode off, but it was not overwhelming by any means.

ElitesTV.com has a story and photo of The Rock at the Taurus Stunt Awards.
