  • Settle The Score; End The War – Spud vs. Jack Storm, the Re-Match!

» At Best of British 2 back in May, a match was signed – Jack Storm vs. Tony ‘Superstar’ Sefton. But after a freak training injury to his ankle, Sefton had to withdraw from the contest – but not before he helped Spud take his place, to set up for Spud vs. Jack Storm, match #1.

Storm started off the match furious, as Spud jumped him from behind to get the upper-hand, and just as Spud looked like he had it in the bag, Dave Moralez appeared from the crowd to align himself with Jack Storm, giving Storm the cheap win behind the referee’s prone back.

Fast forward to July, the Weekend of Champions. Storm and Spud got their hands on each other on both nights, firstly in the Battle Royal on night 1, and secondly in the big 6 man tag (also featuring Sefton/Dragon Phoenix & Moralez/Ashley Reed, respectively). In both those encounters, however, they had other faces to watch out for… other men wanting to stick the knife in their respective back.

Come September 25th, it will be One-on-One. Mano-e-Mano. A fight to the finish with no time limit imposed, as IPW management remove any time barriers from letting us see who comes out on top when the fight is fair. Spud vs. ‘Sadistic’ Jack Storm – the rematch!

  • Dave Moralez Steps Up To The Plate In Singles Action!

» Dave Moralez steam-rolled into IPW:UK back at Best of British 1, defeating Rob Hunter in quick order. He then re-appeared at Best of British 2, and made his impact once again, helping Jack Storm KO Spud in his singles match against the ‘Sadistic’ one.

Since then, however, Moralez has found himself stuck in a rut. Unable to progress with partner Jack Storm in the Tag Title tournament, knocked out un-justly by the eventual winners AK47, Moralez then suffered his first singles loss at the hands of Spud at the last event, Extreme Measures 2.

With this in mind, Dave Moralez signed up to face Aviv Maayan in contender’s action at the One Year Anniversary show. What better way to make an impact than by defeating the former champion on the biggest show in the company’s history so far?

A big change was made to the card, however. Maayan, who will still be in attendance come September 25th, is no longer able to wrestle due to a devastating ankle injury. Given a prognosis of 6-8 weeks on the shelf due to ligament damage, Moralez has signed himself up for a match that cannot take place.

Enter… THE WONDERKID! After allowing his title shot to be assigned to his best friend Jody Fleisch, Storm was then informed that his proposed tour of America in late September would have to be called off. America’s loss is England’s gain, as Storm was immediately added to the One Year Anniversary show.

Storm and Moralez are the final two active participants signed for the show without matches, and as such, IPW officials have paired the two in a contest for September 25th. The ‘Hate Machine’ originally signed on to face a former champ – now he’s got himself in hot water against an International competitor!
