While the final number has not yet been made available, WWE’s audience seems to have indeed carried over to Friday nights. Last night’s edition of “Friday Night SmackDown!” scored a 2.9/5 Fast National rating, good enough for third place among the major networks. Although the number is slightly below the show’s Thursday average, it easily exceeded all expectations.
Ratings for the “Shelter From The Storm” special were not released on a “per network” basis, but one would not be able to dismiss SmackDown’s respectable performance on the basis that the benefit concert provided a solid lead-in. The number is reflective of interest on the part of WWE fans.
