According to sources, Chris Jericho is currently sitting on a contract extension that was issued by WWE. Although there is a strong belief that he will eventually sign the deal (as of a few days ago, he had not done so), WWE has to assume the worst and has booked post-Summerslam angles without Chris Jericho in mind. Should he return a signed contract, WWE will obviously work him back into the picture.
While reports suggesting he’s quitting the company after Summerslam are exaggerated, he does have a number of Fozzy dates that will interfere with his pro wrestling schedule. Thus, even if he does renew his contract, he will still miss a number of post-Summerslam editions of RAW.
