Although JBL was correct when he guaranteed victory, his win over Batista came via disqualification, meaning he was not able to walk out as World Heavyweight Champion. In fact, JBL was noly able to walk out of The Great American Bash at all. After the match, Batista destroyed JBL and Orlando Jordan with close to one dozen steel chair shots.
For weeks, Eddie Guerrero threatened to reveal a secret concerning Rey Mysterio and his family. The only thing Mysterio had to do to keep Guerrero quiet was beat him at The Great American Bash. Fortunately for Mysterio and his family, Guerrero was defeated at The Bash. The secret is now safe forever.
