Last night’s edition of WWE SmackDown on UPN scored a 3.0 fast national rating with a five share. The final number should be posted later today.

A fan who was in attendance at the SmackDown taping, Jackson Hardy sent the following…”Smackdown’s editing really cleaned up the promo and changed it from a outright burial of ECW into something less negative that felt more like a heel trying to get heat. We should be thankful they cleaned it up. The TV version and the live version were night and day.”

The promos that feature Dreamer and The Dudley Boyz for the ECW show were originally scheduled to air on RAW, however were pulled for some reason. Since they created one for Sandman, it only stands to reason that WWE would put one together for Sabu. The production for all ECW One Night Stand videos has been great and may have had a stronger build.

Sources have been reporting that the JBL promo was cut down quite a bit from the original content, which included more rip jobs on Paul Heyman’s finances. From what has been said, the promo was designed by Bryan Gerwitz. A few wrestlers have wondered how the promo was designed to promote the show, opposed to simply take shots at Heyman. It has been pointed out that JBL was quick to mention Meanie and Lance Storm during his promo, two people who he doesn’t personally get along with, as a way to take a shot at them too. An edited line from the promo including mention of Meanie, “marrying a sl*t” which was a reference to former girlfriend Jasmin St. Clair.
