*Some jobber vs. Chad somebody from Little Rock. The local boy made good and won the match.
*Scotty 2 Hotty defeated Chavo Guerrero
*Rene Dupree defeated some jobber
*Akio defeated Nunzio
*The Bashams defeated Charlie Haas & Bob Holly
*JBL & Friends got into it with Angle & Friends. Teddy Long announced a singles last man standing non-title match as the main event.
*Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and Booker T defeated Mark Jindrak, Luther Reigns and Orlando Jordan. Everybody loves Rey Rey. No heat for Angle’s boys, but plenty of love for the Latino Heat and the Booker.
*John Cena defeated Kenzo Suzuki with the FU to keep the U.S. title. Cena remains over, he riled the crowd up afterward with a Royal Rumble promo that let everyone know he’s ready.
*Heidenreich came out to read a poem. A casket was brought out by the ref while Undertaker’s music played. Heidenreich doesn’t like caskets and hid behind the ring.
*Undertaker b Heidenreich in a casket match. This wasn’t taped for TV. Taker’s entrance is so great…it never ceases to amaze me. This was a pretty good match.
*The Divas came out to shoot T-shirts at people in the crowd.
*Paul London won four-way over Shannon Moore, Funaki and Spike Dudley, which was a Royal Rumble qualifying match. Nobody cared about this match as Carlito was trying to get fans to sign his petition. It’s a damn shame the cruiserweights don’t get more attention. I’m just glad to see these guys back on Smackdown for a change.
*Kurt Angle went to a no-contest with JBL. Angle hit JBL with a chair and delivered a series of German suplexes. It appeared Angle blew JBL up but they had a good match. Neither man could answer the bell.
Overall it was an okay Smackdown; there wasn’t enough Rumble hype but a LOT of Angle/JBL drama. Take it for what it’s worth.
