Today IPW:UK can announce that Andy Simmonz will square off against ICW in Italy’s very own sensation, Red Devil. After narrowly losing in his battle against Robbie Brookside at IPW:UK “Show 2!”, Simmonz will be looking to take his stock up again in order to cement his claim to be involved in the Best of British: Heavyweights later in the year.
In Red Devil, Simmonz will find an opponent that he has a past history with as at ICW (Italian Championship Wrestling, based out of Italy) Cold War 2004 both men faced off in the final of a tournament for the ICW Italian Championship. That day Red Devil walked out the victor, but will Andy Simmonz be able to even up the score in 2005? Devil is the current ICW champion after re-gaining the title in December, and has just come off a 1 fall apiece draw against Jonny Storm. Other career highlights include working for CZW on their Italian show in March 04, proving that the Devil wont be an easy task for Simmonz to overcome when they face 1-on-1 at Best of British 1, March 23rd 2005.
‘New Superstar’ Stevie Douglas, scheduled to face ‘Superstar’ Tony Sefton in a Superstar vs. Superstar battle at Best of British 1 THIS SUNDAY, is said to be absolutely outraged at his lack of an invite into the Best of British: High Flyers match.
Douglas, whose nationality is German, is the current wXw Light-heavyweight Champion, a belt he has held for over half a year. Douglas was unavailable for specific comment on the issue is understood to be extremely angry at his exclusion and feels that he is being victimised about his nationality – something that he will not stand for.
