TNA News: More On Abyss, Hardy Sent Home, Backstage Heat; Loads More

Ryan Clark

Abyss was involved in a heated meeting backstage yesterday and spent a long time talking with Jeff Jarrett. We’ve been told that he was asking for a pay raise and threatened to leave for WWE if he did not get one. America’s Most Wanted did this same thing several months back and they were able to renegotiate. We’re told that Abyss is not under contract so he is free to go if he chooses. Abyss is similar in size to Samoa Joe and word within WWE is that he doesn’t fit the current ‘big man’ style they are looking for.

Chris Candido was in great spirits backstage and is completely clean. He was telling people that he is still with Tammy Sytch and she is clean as well. He was also said to be good enough in the ring where the agents praised him for his work backstage.

Christopher Daniels worked some commentary at the Impact! tapings yesterday and many look at that as Dusty Rhodes trying to get him over as a personality

Jeff Hardy showed up way early (even before catering was setup) yesterday at the tapings. They had been warning him as of late about his tardiness so he must have taken it seriously. Hardy showed up just 30 minutes before the December 21st Impact! tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL and they sent him home. Many wrestlers feel Hardy gets away with much more then the rest of the boys and there is growing heat on him.
