Vince Russo’s TNA Departure, Pre-Show Meeting Backstage News; Loads More

– As we noted many weeks prior to the Victory Road PPV, Vince Russo gave notice to TNA officials that November 7th would be his last night. Russo reportedly grew frustrated with Jeff Jarrett’s booking power and overall creative ideas. Nothing special was done for Russo at the event despite it being his last night with the company. It’s funny to note that since Russo’s departure, Dusty Rhodes has taken over booking duties.

– The pre-show meeting before Victory Road consisted of all the workers viewing the very well done promo that aired in the beginning of the show, with additional comments from Jeff Jarrett afterwards. Jarrett made it clear to everyone involved that they not to wander into the Universal Studios offices during the course of the hours leading up to the event.

– Scott Hudson’s line about the server being down in Stamford, CT (the headquarters of the WWE offices) during the voting for the new Director of Authority at Victory Road reportedly came from Jeremy Borash.
