Major Shocking News On WWE Firings

This past week, nine WWE superstars were released from the company. (Nidia, Gail Kim, Johnny Stamboli, Billy Gunn, A-Train, Test, Jazz, Rodney Mack, & Chuck Palumbo). As you would probably guess, the morale among many WWE superstars is very low right now. It wasn’t all that good to begin with as the company as a whole is down. There are a ton of people who are on edge right now backstage and feel they may be the next ones to be let go. There was one wrestler who told PWInsider that he was afraid to answer his cell phone if he sees a call from the WWE office.

We’ve been told that John Laurinaitis recently offered any wrestler who needed money right now a “cash advance” which would be deducted from future earnings. The offer was generally made to keep wrestlers complaining about money and was just a way to try and help talent. The nine releases this week clearly hammered that point home.

Several workers have told us that they expect the political jungle of the WWE locker-room to get even more intense in the coming weeks. Many people feel that to complain right now would be the wrong thing to do and it could cost anyone their jobs.

Politically, the best place to be right now is by the side of HHH. Ric Flair and Dave Batista. Flair and Batista are basically Triple H’s closest friends’ backstage.
