ROH “Bans” Kevin Steen, More on “Best in the World” Buys

Ring of Honor posted a statement on its website noting that it has "banned" Kevin Steen from the promotion. “Effective today, Wednesday June 29th,” stated ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette, “Kevin Steen is banned from ever showing his face at a Ring of Honor event, and should any person or persons attempt to bring him into an ROH event, they too will suffer harsh consequences," reads the statement. The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter is reporting that this past Sunday’s Ring of Honor "Best in the World" iPPV drew an estimated 1,900 buys, which breaks the previous record held by the company’s December 2010 show "Final Battle."

This is being looked at as a very impressive feat considering ROH has not been on HDNet for months and had no real way of promoting the iPPV outside of the internet.
