Teddy Long is in the ring for the contract signing, then introduces HHH and he tells everyone about cancelling the original Punk vs Nash match. He says the WWE board is letting him get in the ring for one night to deal with Punk, and asks him to join him in the ring to make the match official. Punk sits down and says HHH made the made already on Monday, and he says he is confused as to why they are out there now. He asks if there is a stipulation in there for HHH to change it or back out, and Punk says nothing surprises him and wants to know what the deal is. HHH starts to tell him why he changed the match, and they yell over each other then HHH tells him about what is has been like since he became COO.
He tells Punk that eventhough he has insulted his family and his wife, he bent over backwards trying to make it work between them, and Punk just keeps pushing. HHH says he got his theme music and his shirt approved, and even gave him the match with Nash, but Punk kept talking and insulted him. Punk says he doesn't want 'this' HHH, he wants the Cerebral Assassin, because the new HHH sucks. He doesn't hate the WWE, he loves it and he is still here because he wants change and he doesn't want the show to suck. He is dying for a change and he is the catalyst, but HHH cuts him off and says he is full of crap, because he isn't doing anything and some people actually like WWE the way it is. HHH knows it can be better, and that it his job because Punk will only accept change if he is at the top.
HHH says they are the same in wanting to get to the top, but he had the balls to look everyone in the eye and say he was stepping over them to get to the top. Punk doesn't think he is a martyr, because he just wants people to enjoy what they see and he wants this all to be fun again. Part of what he is doing is for him, because he was a fan to start and part of him still is a fan. He is pushing HHH's buttons to test him, and he failed just like Vince did, because they don't want the same things because HHH has an ego and he has seen it before. If he has to go through HHH to start the change, then he will and he asks HHH not to fine or suspend him after he kicks his ass. (Cont'd…)
