The show opens with a video package highlighting Triple H’s run as WWE C.O.O. thus far. The video also depicts how the roster is against his leadership.
Backstage: Teddy Long and Zack Ryder
Backstage, we see Teddy Long on the phone with HHH. Zack Ryder shows up and and Long explains to him that in order to avoid another walk-out, HHH would not be appearing on the show tonight.
In-Ring Promo: Vickie Guerrero, Several WWE Heels
Live in the arena, Vickie Guerrero’s “excuse me” kicks things off. She welcomes everyone to the one-year anniversary of Smackdown on the SyFy Network. Christian, Dolph Ziggler, David Otunga, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and Jack Swagger explain their distaste for HHH. Swagger introduces the WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio comes out and talks about surviving Hell In A Cell as champion. He talks about how he inspired everyone to walk out on HHH. Teddy Long then comes out and tells Christian and Cody Rhodes that they’ll be in the main event tonight against Sheamus and Randy Orton. Long also reveals that Del Rio’s match is next, and that it will be against Sin Cara.
Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara 1
We return from commercial and it’s time for Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara. Sin Cara is in control of the offense early in the match. Del Rio catches Sin Cara with a German Suplex. Del Rio is now firmly in control of things. Sin Cara uses some high-flying moves to make a bit of a comeback. Sin Cara hits a float-over DDT for a near fall. Del Rio catches Sin Cara with the cross arm breaker for the submission win.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
