In-Ring Promo: Christopher Daniels and RVD

Before their match, Christopher Daniels get on the microphone in the ring and asks Rob Van Dam what he was thinking asking for a no disqualification match tonight. He asks him how they got to this point. Daniels says he never runs from a challenge, but he suggested that they agree to a straight wrestling match. RVD agrees.

Christopher Daniels vs. Rob Van Dam

With that said, the Daniels-RVD match is now underway. Both men do a lot of chain wrestling, ala old ECW style matches, to start things off in this one. Daniels eventually runs out of the ring to get away from RVD, who was getting the better of him. RVD hits rolling thunder on Daniels back in the ring. RVD follows that up with an enziguri and a leg drop. Daniels reverses a roll-up pin attempt and begins working over the head and neck of Van Dam. Daniels hit a death valley driver on RVD for a nearfall. RVD hits the van dominator on Daniels, which knocks Daniels out to the floor. Both men fight on the ramp and RVD sets Daniels up on the ringside barricade, hitting his flying leg drop on him while he's draped across it. Back in the ring, Daniels throws the ref into RVD. Daniels grabs a chair and slams RVD on it. Daniels gravs a screwdriver, but RVD hits him with the chair. RVD then hits the 5-star frogsplash on Daniels for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Rob Van Dam
