The Rock, in his first wrestling match since heading for Hollywood seven years ago, showed no signs of ring rust in a triumphant return to Madison Square Garden Sunday night.

The wrestling superstar – once the biggest name in the WWE – turned big-screen actor teamed with the company’s current poster boy and rival, John Cena, in the main event at the annual Survivor Series pay-per-view spectacular. It was the 25th anniversary of the event that has become a November tradition.

The unlikely duo defeated wrestling bad guys R-Truth and the Miz in front of more than 17,000 fans, who throughout the match chanted: ‘Rocky! Rocky!’

After the first moments of the match, fans let the Rock know he hadn’t missed a step despite his long absence from the ring.

“You still got it!” chanted the fans, who encouraged the Rock not to involve his partner in the match.

“Don’t tag Cena!” the fans added.
