Iron Man Match: Bobby Roode vs. A.J. Styles
The announcers bitch a while about Roode spitting in Dixie’s face on Impact last week. Roode is in control of Styles early on. Roode punches Styles in his bad knee and pins him for a 1-0 lead at about the ten minute mark. Roode continues to work over Styles’ bad knee as the second fall continues. Roode locks in a single leg crab on Styles, attempting to finish him off for a second fall. Styles eventually reaches the ropes to break the hold. Roode, however, applies a figure-four leglock and Styles taps out. Roode is up 2-0. Styles applies the Crossface submission quickly after. Roode taps out. 2-1 Roode at this point. Styles works over Roode’s arm for a bit. Roode works over Styles’ knee a bit. Styles ends up catching Rode in an inside cradle for a pin. Things are 2-2 now. Styles hits a big 360 splash for the pin quickly there after. 3-2, Styles. Styles is still selling his knee injury. Roode pins Styles out of nowhere with his feet on the ropes to even things up, 3-3. Styles, with minutes remaining, fires up on offense. The bell eventually rings, ending things at a 3-3 tie. Wow.
