WWE SmackdownDrew McIntyre's SD! Future

It's being reported that Drew McIntyre's current storyline on Smackdown, which has seen him in a slump, losing match after match, will culminate in McIntyre getting a gimmick overhaul and a new character. There are early indications that he will be playing some type of male playboy chracter, but that has not been confirmed.

WWE Releases 3 Long-Time Execs

As of 2/10/12, WWE has released three long-time company execs. They are as follows:

Jim Connely, who was hired 1999 to oversee Global Licensing, Home Entertainment and Book and Magazine publishing. While at the New York Toy Fair last week, people in WWE's Consumer Products division were described as "awkwardly dancing around questions on who to contact" in regards to potential licensing deals.

The other two names to be released from WWE as of 2/10 are Florence DiGiorgio and Dean Miller.

Update: Mike Aldren of The Wrestling Globe Newsletter is reporting that Connely had been working with WWE since 2009, and not 1999 as previously reported.
