WWE Hall of Famer Training UFC Fighter

In a recent interview with OTR in Canada, UFC fighter Chael Sonnen spoke about how Steve Austin has helped him train for his fights. As previously reported on Wrestlezone.com, Austin, who is currently working on a reality television show “Redneck Island,” has spent weeks working with Sonnen in strength and conditioning workouts. Sonnen spoke about how difficult it is working with someone like Austin.

“He puts me through hell for 30 days and that’s what we use to jumpstart our training,” Sonnen stated.

Chael Sonnen is expected to have his next match on July 7, 2012 at UFC 148. His opponent is Anderson Silva, whom he lost to at UFC 117 in August of 2010.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
