WWE RAW Results (6/25) – Cena’s Announcement, Jericho Returns, AJ Stirs Things Up

Bill Pritchard

AJ is shown backstage with Kane, and she says things have been crazy lately but she is glad they can talk right now. Kane says he's not good with feelings, but she makes him feel things he never has before. He says he's not boyfriend material and he doesn't do relationships, because he's a monster and he likes hurting people. Kane says she is mentally unstable, and he thinks it's in her best interest to stay away from him. He tells her goodbye and walks away, then AJ starts crying before picking her head up and maniacally laughing as we go to a break.

United States Championship
Jack Swagger vs Santino Marella (c)

Santino tries to lock up but Swagger begs him off, then he cheap shots Santino and pummels him in the corner. Swagger backs off and Santino throws him in the corner, then he punches him a few times and teases Cobra. Swagger runs away but hits a front slam for a near fall, then Santino comes back with some strikes and a side suplex. Santino ducks a clothesline and hiptosses Swagger, then he goes for Cobra but Swagger blocks with a waistlock. Santino counters with a swinging DDT, then he hits Cobra and makes the cover to retain.

Winner – Santino Marella

John Cena comes out to the ring to address his tweets today, and he says the WWE has been turned upside-down for the past few months. He recaps his fight with John Laurinaitis and Big Show by parodying Star Wars (seriously, this sh*t is funny) and he gets a good pop from the crowd. Cena says he all of this led him to his announcement, but he doesn't get to make it as the lights go out and Chris Jericho makes his return to RAW. Jericho asks Cena what he is talking about, because he should make his announcement and shut the hell up because tonight is his night. (Cont'd…)
