Watch “Unauthorized Documentary On ECW” In Your Home With ECW Wrestlers And The Film Producers

WrestleZone.com reader Kevin John sent along the following …

Producers of the “Unauthorized Documentary on ECW” have upped the ante and added some cool dimension to some of the levels of gifts offered for backing the project. Pledges and gifts start as low as a $10 donation with such prizes such as DVD’s, posters, T-shirts, Stickers, Tickets to the film Premiere and After Party in Philadelphia, PA. The producers have added a unique option to one of their premium pledge levels as the “Backer” gift reward includes their choice of one of the following E.C.W. wrestlers: THE FRANCHISE SHANE DOUGLAS, STEVIE RICHARDS, JERRY LYNN, THE BLUE MEANIE, or ANGEL OF THE BALDIES appearing at your location (home, hall, club, etc…) with two of the film’s producers to view the film, comment, talk about ECW, answer your questions, take pictures, and sign autographs. Get creative and host a party with your friends at your home or other venue for the viewing thus running your very own private or public “PREMIERE” of the film. This level also includes a dozen of DVD’s, Posters, T-Shirts, Tickets, and more. There is also a deluxe version of this gift but it includes ALL 5 ECW Wrestlers listed above appearing at your location. These could be really big and special things with the right person in charge. This gift is only available within the United States and Puerto Rico. All costs for talent and producers are included in the pledge amount. There are only two of these gifts available. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bwcfilm/a-documentary-about-extreme-championship-wrestling

HOW DOES THIS KICKSTARTER THING ACTUALLY WORK ANYWAY? As many as you already know, the producers of the new in-depth, Unauthorized ECW Documentary have tapped the fundraising site Kickstarter.com to help raise the money needed to finish the film to bring to market. However, the trick with Kickstarter is that their policy is “all or nothing”. A user makes a “pledge” to “back” the project but are not charged anything until the set deadline expires and only if the project reached the posted goal amount. If the goal amount is met on the day of expiration, then all the people who pledged will then be charged via Amazon.com, production is finished, and products (prizes) are delivered. If the goal is not met, then nothing is charged and everyone goes their separate ways. No strings attached. http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20120826/PC20/120829421/1032/mooneyham-column-ecw-documentary-12-years-in-the-making
