By Mike Killam for Wrestlezone.com

September 6th, 2012

The show opens with a video package highlighting all the action from last week's episode and the continuation of the Aces & Eights story. Pyro and theme song hits, as Mike Tenay puts over the final two matches in the BFG series, and we transition right into a Bound for Glory video package.

Following the video package Jeff Hardy's music hits; it looks like we're kicking off Impact with one of the two huge Bound for Glory series matches!

Bound for Glory Series Match

Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe

Jeff HardyHardy and Joe lock up in the center of the ring, with Samoa Joe taking the early advantage with a wrist lock. Jeff Hardy makes it to the ropes and the lock is broken. The lock up again in the corner, as "The Cowboy" James Storm is seen watching from the back. The action cuts back to the ring and Joe is stomping away on Hardy in the corner, before dumping him out of the ring and rolling to the outside himself. The two trade blows around ringside, but Hardy blocks a throw into the steel steps and sends Joe flying over them. He slowly manages to come to his feet, resting against the guard rail, but Hardy uses the steel ring steps to hit Poetry in Motion, smashing Joe against the rails as we head to our first commercial break.

We fade back in with Joe trying for a pin attempt, but he only manages a two-count. Joe brings Hardy into the corner once again and lands half a dozen stiff jabs to the jaw, as the referee warns him to break it up. An Irish Whip into the opposite corner and a huge kick leads to another pin, and another close two-count. The Impact Zone finalls gets back into the action with dueling "Let's go Hardy" and "Let's go Joe" chants. Joe continues his beatdown and the fans switch to being almost completely on Hardy's side. Jeff explodes out of the corner, followed by standing dropkick and an reverse atomic drop. Hardy tries for the Twist of Fate, but Joe counters and tries to lock in the rear naked choke! In a huge surprise, Jeff Hardy took Samoa Joe to the ground and hooked in what looked like a keylock for the submission victory against the Samoan Submission Machine!

Winner via submission: Jeff Hardy

Backstage the TNA World Champion Austin Aries confronts Hulk Hogan about all the "bullshit" going on. Hogan says he's the World Champ and there's a big target on his back. Hulk says the "little guy" that knocked out Aries last week will be at his disposal tonight. The Champ asks what if he can't get him to talk by "diplomatic means", and Hogan told him to "break his legs old school style."
