WWE.com has confirmed that Jerry "The King" Lawler has been released from the hospital. He will be heading home to Memphis for the foreseeable future, and will be tended to in the comfort of his own home.
Last week, Lawler suffered a heart attack while announcing on Monday Night Raw. He was rushed to the hospital after having nearly 20 minutes of CPR performed on him.
There is no timetable for his return to the WWE. JBL will be announcing tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw. There has not been plans to keep him around as a replacement to Lawler. Layfield has talked about heading to Africa on Friday to continue his quest on climbing mountains.
