According to The Wrestling Observer, John Laurinaitis recently underwent surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff, which is why he has been absent from Raw and Smackdown dark matches. The surgery will likely keep Laurinaitis out of action for several months, and when he is ready to return, there has been talk of him returning to TV in some capacity.
