WWE Smackdown Results (9/21) - Edge Returns, ADR/Ziggler vs Sheamus/Orton, Kane & Bryan On Same Page?

WWE Hall of Famer Edge is welcomed to the show, and he says he never gets tired of the crowd reaction, and he has a good reason to be there. Edge says he was forced into retirement and he wasn’t sure what to do next, but he still watches WWE for entertainment. He shows a clip of Kane and Daniel Bryan hugging it out and arguing, then he says he’s been gone awhile, but he needs to know how they get along and became champions. Bryan comes out and says he wanted to correct Edge’s use of pronouns, and he says ‘they’ aren’t champions because he is the tag team champions. Edge tells him to switch to decaf because the fans are just messing with him, but Bryan says he’s in control and he’s an anchor. He says he’s one with his emotions, but Edge says he must be joking and Bryan says he understands the suspicion. Edge says ‘excuse me’, and Bryan says emotions come out after hearing certain words, and he says Vickie Guerrero says that phrase.

Bryan asks Edge if he thinks of his ex-wife, then Bryan says it’s all in his theme song because they all think they know him. He tells Edge to go back to retirement and acting, because there’s nothing they can do to make him snap, and Edge says that was well played. Edge says he wasn’t trying to make him snap but it sounds like a challenge, then Bryan screams NO! about it until Kane’s pyro goes off. Kane comes to the ring and says they are both wrong, because HE is the tag team champions, then Kane and Bryan argue back and forth about it. Edge yells at them to stop, then Kane asks if he’s angry and Bryan tells him to take it easy. Kane tells him Doctor Shelby can help him, then Edge says they have tortured each other for months, and he can understand Bryan’s turnaround, but Kane is puzzling him. Edge says he is supposed to be the Big Red Monster, then he reminds Kane about all of the bad things they did to each other over the years, like ruining his wedding and toturing Paul Bearer.

Kane says he remembers it all and he needs to rectify the situation, and Edge prepares for a fight but Kane reaches out for a hug. Edge reluctantly hugs him and the crowd cheers, then Bryan starts screaming ‘NO!’ over and over until Edge invites him for a group hug. Bryan smiles and goes to hug them, but Damien Sandow comes out and says he’s there to help everyone, because they have had to watch Kane and Bryan shame and humiliate themselves for weeks. He continues on but Edge tells him to shut up, and he says Sandow should come to the ring and do something about it if he doesn’t like him. Sandow says he doesn’t resort to fights, but Edge says the fans would like to see it, then he asks the crowd to pick his opponent, and Kane and Bryan argue about it as we go to a break.
