WWE RAW Results (9/24) - Kane/Bryan Get New Team Name, Lawler Health Update, Will Cena Be At HIAC?

The show starts with CM Punk and Paul Heyman already in the ring, and Heyman says it's an honor to share the ring with the WWE Champion. Heyman says they have bad news because the show is coming to a stop, and they won't let RAW continue until justice is served. He says they all know what he's talking about, but he has footage just in case, then he does a commentary about the missed foot on the rope. Heyman says that tells him there is a grand injustice, and he wants to summon referee Brad Maddox to the ring right now. Heyman says Maddox owes Punk a formal apology, but he should resign after that and they have all night so they will wait for him to come to the ring.

Maddox meets them in the ring and addresses them, and he says he made a mistake because it was his first main event assignment and he was nervous. He says he should have checked the ropes, then Heyman says he should have because it's always been in the rulebook, and now he should resign. Maddox says he doesn't think a resignation is appropriate, but Punk says he doesn't care what he thinks because he embarrassed him on his show. Punk asks how he even got his job, then he ridicules him before Maddoz says AJ Lee hired him when RAW went to three hours. Heyman jumps back in and says he's a replacement scab, then he hands him a blindfold with the NFL logo on it and says he should put it on. Maddox says that is inappropraite, then Punk says he was probably wearing it last week, and he says AJ should do the right thing and come fire him. 

AJ skips to the ring and tells Maddox he can leave now, then Heyman says she is certainly out there to correct the decision from last week. AJ says he looks like an ass when he assumes, but she won't let them harass a referee and hold her show hostage, then she asks who they think they are. Punk says he's the WWE Champion and she has a job because of him, then Heyman tries to calm him down but Punk says he can handle it. He says AJ has had it out for him, then he shows footage of her proposal and says she is angry at his rejection, but she should forget all about it. (Cont'd...)
