WWE Smackdown Results (9/28) - Beth vs Natalya, Tag Team Tourney, Big Show vs Orton For Shot At WHC

Randy Orton is making his way out to the ring for his match, but he gets ambushed by Alberto Del Rio and thrown into a cement pillar. Alberto continues to attack him with a equipment case then throws him on the ground, but he leaves as referees run over and we go to a commercial break. Big Show makes his entrance then Orton's music cues up, but Alberto comes out and says Orton won't be able to compete tonight. Alberto says the good news is that he is taking Orton's place, then he steps forward but Orton runs out and attacks him from behind. Orton throws him into the WWE logo on the stage, then he heads to the ring as Big Show motions for him and the announcers wonder how healthy he is.

Big Show vs Randy Orton

Show taunts Orton and tries to corner him, but Orton fights back with a flurry of right hands until Show drops him with a headbutt. Show calls for a corner chop but Orton comes back with some more punches, then Show punches him in the ribs and throws him in the corner. He steps on Orton's ribs and tells him to get up, then he smiles as he headbutts Orton and follows with a spinning elbow drop for a near fall. Orton rolls outside and tries to regain his composure, but Show follows him out and kicks him into the barricade as we go to a break. Show whips Orton across the ring as we get back, then Orton counters a bearhug with a tornado DDT for a near fall.

Orton stomps Show to get him off his feet, then Show targets his ribs and repeatedly punches him in the corner. Show screams at Orton before stepping on his ribs, then he sends him outside and tries to throw him into the ringpost, but Orton floats over and shoves him into the post. Orton rolls in and sets up a hanging DDT but Show counters, then Show calls for a chokeslam but Orton counters with a surprise RKO for two. Orton backs up and goes for a punt but Show hits a chokeslam for a near fall, then he pulls Orton and hits another one for the win. Show starts to leave but ends up coming back in, and he knocks Orton out with a WMD before telling Sheamus he'll see him at Hell In A Cell.
