AJ Styles is backstage with Kurt Angle, and says that he enjoyed being tag partners, but they both want to focus on being World Champion again. Tonight they go into a 3-way with Chris Daniels to determine the final member of next week's Championship Thursday contender's circle.
(3) Kid Kash & Gunner vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez
Gunner dumps Chavo out of the ring to start things off, and the heels try to get in some early double team action, but Hernandez takes them both down with a big flying clothesline. Supermex gets the tag in on Chavo, who fires away at Kash int he corner with rights and lefts. Hernandez back in again, and nails a huge belly-to-belly overhead toss on Kash. Gunner tags his way into the match, but walks into a big powerslam by Supermex, who tags in Chavo.
Gunner finds the quick tag to Kid Kash, the heels out number Chavo and beat him down in their corner. The referee breaks it up, but they get another quick tag and continue the assault. Chavo finally mounts some offense, planting a kick to the head of Kash, and gets the hot tag to Supermex. Kash tries to put a dent in Hernandez by any means necessary, but nothing he does has any effect. Hernandez throws Kash halfway across the ring with a shoulder block, tags in Chavo and they get the win with a big top rope splash.
Winners: Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez
Backstage, Hogan is with Sting and Joseph Parks. Parks wants to face Aces & Eights, and asks for just one of them. Bully Ray makes his way in and demands that he gets to beat the answers out of his brother later on tonight. Hogan tells Bully to prepare for being a contender to the World Title next week. Bully gets mad at the decision, and tells Hogan he needs to start trusting him more, and walks off. Sting goes after him to end the segment.
A video package highlights the Hardy/Aries match at Bound for Glory, and the new Champion is live in the Impact Zone! Hardy reveals a variant of the old, purple Immortal belt instead of the TNA World title he won at Bound for Glory this weekend. Hardy thanks the "Creatures" for being there for him through it all, and the Impact Zone gives him a warm welcome. Hardy says he can't wait to defend his title for the first time next, but Austin Aries hits the ring with balloons in hand. Aries offers the new Champion cookies and balloons, but lets the balloons fly away as he reaches for them. Hardy slaps the tray of cookies out of Aries' hand. The former Champion mentions Hardy's new belt, and runs down the crowd for flip-flopping between "Hardy!" and "Aries!" chants. Aries takes the "Hardy belt" and spits on it, but the Champion attacks him. He goes for the Twist of Fate, but Aries rolls out of the ring at the last second.
