(2) Samoa Joe vs. Ken Anderson
Anderson makes the age-old mistake of trying to trade blows with Joe, and gets the hell beaten out of him in the corner as a result. Anderson escapes to the outside, but Joe rolls out and sends him crashing off the apron. Joe breaks the ref's count, and keeps the pressure on with a huge chop to the chest. Anderson catches him in a drop toehold, sending Joe knees first into the steps. He bounces Joe's head off the steps and sends his spine into the apron afterwards. They roll back into the ring, but Joe kicks out at two.
Joe tries to fire back with a few short strikes, but Anderson clips his injured leg – happened on the outside with the steps – and takes the big man down. Anderson works over his leg in the ropes, sending all his weight crashing down on the injured area. He spends a little too much time however, and Joe captilizes with an opening, dropkicking his opponent to the outside. Suicide dive connects, but Joe may have hurt his knee more than Anderson on that one.
Back in the ring, Joe gets a two-count and responds with a big senton splash. The two slowly make their way up and trade blows in the center of the ring. Anderson connects with a dropkick, and tries to get Joe up on his shoulders, only to find himself in a chokehold. Anderson drops down to the mat, catching Joe with a stunner-esk move, but runs into the S-T-Joe in the corner! Joe is distracted by Mike Knox on the outside of the ring, holding up his hammer, and gets caught with the Mic Check.
Winner: Mr. Anderson
Backstage JB is with Kenny King. He says he realized something when he asked RVD to be his tag team partner last month. He says that RVD isn't the same man that almost damn near killed Jerry Lynn. He's not the same hardcore legend that he used to be, and he isn't the same man at all. King says he's going to perform a little natural selection tonight. First he's going to step on Christian York's head, and pull every blond dreadlocks out of his skull, and then he's going to put RVD to pasture, and take his gold in the process.
