1/17 TNA Impact Wrestling Results – Brooke/Bully Wedding Crashed; New Aces & Eights Member Revealed!

Mike Killam

As we come back from commercial break, Taz joins the groomsmen backstage. Bully mentions "Paul" in reference to Paul Heyman, and they make an inside joke. They talk about Hulk Hogan needing to be involved tonight for Brooke's sake; doesn't look like it's going to happen.

"The Icon" and TNA Hall of Famer, Sting, makes his way down to the ring. He says that tonight is a very special evening, and love is in the air. He calls out Hulk Hogan, and the Hulkster slowly makes his way to the ring. They show video of the wedding cake and a pile of gifts at ringside. Hogan tells Sting to cut the crap, because he's not going to get the muscle-flexing, pose-cutting Hogan tonight. He says that the two of them have traveled the world together working every match imaginable, and they've all had people say they love them, and walk away. Sting says that Bully has stepped up for Sting, for Hulk Hogan and more importantly for Brooke Hogan. Hulk says there's something about him, and something he just feels when he's around him; he will never trust Bully Ray. Sting tells him to man up and do it for himself, and do it for Brooke. The Impact Zone starts chanting "do it", and the Hulkster says that he always does the right thing, and walks off.

Backstage, Gail Kim find Taryn. She says she's been wrestling for 13 years, and Taryn has been in wrestling for about a minute. She takes out her iPad and shows her missing the call at Genesis, when her foot was obviously under the bottom rope. Taryn says that she's been given a rematch tonight, and that she'll call it right down the middle. Gail threatens her, and walks off.

(3) Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim

Gail carries the early goings of this match, trapping Velvet in a side headlock. Sky shakes the hold and takes down her opponent with a clothesline, and Kim rolls to the outside to collect herself. Velvet tries to lock up again, but Gail kicks her in the gut and uses her boot to choke the #1 contender in the ropes. Taryn forces her to break the choke, so she pulls Velvet to the middle of the ring and drops her with a neckbreaker; two-count.

Gail hits Eat Da Feet, but Velvet gets her foot under the bottom rope and Taryn sees it before counting the three. Gail gets in the ref's face, obviously upset about the call, and Velvet hits her finisher for the three-count.

Winner: Velvet Sky
