1/31 TNA Impact Wrestling Results – 2 Members of Aces & Eights Revealed, Angle vs. Anderson in a Steel Cage

TNA Impact Wrestling

Jan. 31st, 2013

Mike Tenay, Todd Keneley and Tazz welcome us to Impact Wrestling from Manchester, England. Christopher Daniels and Kazarian make their way out wearing kilts and Braveheart-style war paint. Kazarian pumps up the crowd and tells them to pay tribute to the real warriors of the UK…the Scotts! Daniels takes the mic and continutes to run down the crowd, until Magnus interrupts and makes his way to the ring to a huge ovation from the hometown crowd.

Magnus tells Daniels he's not the world champion because Jeff Hardy beat him 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring. He calls them both a couple of muppets that need to be taught respect. He aks them, if they want to fight an Englishman, if they'll fight him. The heels attack but Magnus fights off the double team and clotheslines Kazarian from the ring. Daniels takes a dropkick and joins Kaz on the outside, and they retreat up the ramp. Magnus grabs a mic and says that it's an honor to compete in front of any crowd, but that honor was taken away from him by the Aces & Eights. He calls out Devon for the first match of tonight's Open Fight Night.

(1) Magnus vs. Devon

When we come back from commercial, the bell rings and Magnus backs Devon into the corner with a flurry of punches. They roll to the outside and Devon goes shoulder first into the barricade. Magnus takes Devon all around the ring as the Manchester crowd pops huge for the Brit. Magnus rolls him back into the ring, but takes a high knee as he climbs between the ropes. Devon works the offensive for several minutes, using mostly rest holds as the crowd loudly chants "let's go Magnus" to get their boy back into the match.

Devon runs the ropes but Magnus explodes out of nowhere with a huge clothesline. A falcon arrow finds its mark as the Aces & Eights surround the ring. The ref calls for the bell as the Eights hit the ring, but Magnus somehow throws them all over the top rope! He celebrates his DQ victory as the crowd goes crazy for him and the Aces & Eights leave through the back.

Winner via DQ: Magnus
