Title This: WWE Friday Night Smackdown Reaction 2-8-13

Mark HenryThe Main Event

Early in the night, Mark Henry came out and took out Great Khali and Titus O'Neil. He demanded a shot in the Elimination Chamber Match, which Booker T was hesitant at first. He then booked Henry vs. Orton later on tonight, and if Henry would win, he would earn a spot in the match. I was interested to see how this match would work out, especially since Henry beat Orton in 2011 for his first championship. I was kind of rooting for Henry here again. He needed a clean and impressive win for his return, and Orton is a guy that has seemed to pick up clean losses and still not be hurt in the long run.

Mark Henry defeated Randy Orton in Smackdown's main event of the night. You can tell Henry is going to need a few matches to get back into the swing of things, but he did pretty good moving around with Randy Orton. Orton is so good at making others look good, and he did a great job selling every move like Henry was the strongest man in the world, still. Mark Henry hit a massive clothesline onto Orton off the ropes and began to take control of the match, until Orton was able to hit a suplex and hanging DDT. Orton looked to end the match with an RKO, but Henry shoves him away and ends up connecting with a World's Strongest Slam for the victory. This was a clean pin, and made Henry look great upon his return. They NEED more heels who can talk and who is willing to risk their bodies in the ring. They are too safe with Big Show, but Mark Henry is intelligent and very saavy in the ring for his size. I am excited to see what they do with him, and am interested in seeing The Hall of Pain return.

-My only, and only concern, is that Henry gets built up only to have a small role in Wrestlemania 29. It is bound to happen with all the part time guys back, so why not wait until after Mania? Maybe I will be wrong, as I have been wrong before.
