Goldberg Speaks on Banned Substances in Sports

Bill Goldberg recently appeared on 4th & Pain, during which he talked about S.W.A.T.S. — the company that created the famed "deer antler" supplement that created controversy for Ray Lewis at the Super Bowl.

Even with Goldberg's experience with the products, he still stands behind his opinion that each league, for whatever reason, created a banned substance list and it's the players responsibility to follow the leagues rules.

Prior to getting into wrestling Goldberg played for the Atlanta Falcons and briefly with the Carolina Panthers.

Adam Carriker of the Washington Redskins comes in with his viewpoint as a current player in the NFL and how tricky the banned substance list is because there's a large gray area where something so far out of left field could show up in a drug test due to it's ingredients such as; the poppy seed muffin.

Chuck Carroll, a DC based radio personality, wonders why a substance approved by the federal government can be banned in sports?

Carriker just believes there's to many small things unknown to athletes that can cause some serious consequences such as; fines, suspension or even ending someone's career.

Goldberg acknowledges the gray area and that there are bigger issues leagues should worry about, but remains firm with his opinion. You can follow 4th and Pain on Twitter at http://www.Twitter.com/4thAndPain.
