The Miz vs. Wade Barrett (c)
Miz slides under Barrett off an Irish whip, but floats over an atomic drop attemp and rolls up the champion for a count of two. Miz is taken down with a big kick to the gut, and Barrett starts to stalk his opponent with slow, methodical right hands. The champion perches Miz on the top rope and continues to fire away at him with punches to the mid-section.
After another failed pin attempt, Miz fights back and plants Barrett with a neckbreaker. Barrett catches him and gets him up for Wasteland, but Miz rolls out and tries for his finisher – the champ counters and lands a DDT; two-count. Out of nowhere Miz pops up and traps Barrett in the Figure Four, but the champion gets to the bottom rope.
Wasteland finds its mark, but Miz kicks out at two. Drop toe-hold into the Figure Four again, and Wade Barrett taps out!
Results: WINNER AND NEW CHAMPION, THE MIZ!
The throw things back up to the booth, and the crew runs down Rock vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship. Jim Ross talks about recruiting both men. He says if the match goes under 30 minutes, the Rock wins. But if they go for more than 30, Cena has the longevity and will win the title.
