4/18 TNA Impact Wrestling Results – AJ Styles Finally Faces James Storm, X-Division Title on the Line & More

After the match, Ken Anderson tells AJ Styles that they are rooting for him tonight, somewhat sarcastically. He also says that anybody not found wearing an Aces & Eights cut tonight isn't safe.

(2) X-Division Championship Match

Kenny King (c) vs. Petey Williams vs. Zema Ion

Kenny King has new music. Zema gets taken out of the match with a huge clothesline from the Champion. Petey with the Canadian Destroyer out of nowhere, but Ion back in to break up the pinfall. Zema and Petey go back and forth, until Ion takes control with a running neckbreaker. Williams fights back with several knife-edge chops, but Ion drops him into a single-leg Boston crab. There's definitely some "Fandangoing" going on in this match, and a few "boring" chants.

Ion with a great title-the-whirl backbreaker, but Petey counters into a crucifix rollout for a two-count. King is still out of the match from the Canadian Destroyer. The two challengers continue to battle back and forth, with Williams hitting a fast-release German suplex. Zema rolls to the outside and Petey grabs his hair to bring him back into the ring, only to get hit with a DDT. Ion goes for a Moonsault off the top turnbuckle, but Petey rolls out of the way and locks in a Texas Cloverleaf.

Kenny King hits the ring in time to break up the hold, throws Petey to the outside and covers Zema Ion for the three-count.

Winner: Kenny King

Backstage, Brooke Hogan wishes Brooke Tessmacher and Mickie James luck in their match tonight. Tessmacher stays behind afterwards and tells Hogan she can come to her with any of her problems. They hug and she leaves.
