TNA Impact Wrestling

April 18, 2013

This week's episode of Impact Wrestling kicks off with a graphic dedicated to the Boston bombings, followed by a video package recapping the last few week's of TNA storyline development.

The announce teams welcomes us to the show, and they play footage of Jeff Hardy being taken out of the arena last week after the Full Metal Mayhem match.

Backstage, Devon lectures Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff about getting the job done tonight against Kurt Angle.

(1) Garrett Bischoff & Wes Brisco vs. Kurt Angle

Angle goes straight to work on Wes Brisco, backing him into an empty corner and firing away with heavy right hands. Garrett Bischoff tags in and suffers the same fate. Brisco tries to use the numbers to their advantage, but getes dumped to the outside as we head to a commercial break.

After the break, Angle is still in control, but Bischoff distracts the referee long enough for Wes to hit the Olympian with a low blow. For the first time, Garrett goes on the offensive, planting Kurt with a vertical suplex. Wes makes the tag and levels Angle with a clothesline, followed by a near-fall. Briscoe gets Angle in a side headlock, but he powers out and takes them both down with a suplex. Hot tag made to Garrett, but Angle is on fire, taking them both down with clotheslines.

Belly-to-belly suplex connects on Brisco, followed by a German suplex on Bischoff. Wes gets back up and gets a German for his trouble. Another, and a third for good measure. Garrett breaks up the assault of suplexes, but takes another German instead. Olympic Slam connects on Brisco, and the Ankle Lock is strapped on tight. D'Lo Brown and Ken Anderson show up on the outside and distract the ref, allowing Garrett to hit Angle with a chain. 1-2-3.

Winners: Garrett Bischoff & Wes Brisco
