5/2 TNA Impact Wrestling Results – Kurt Angle in “I Quit” Match, Sting Takes on Matt Morgan & More

Sting confronts Kurt Angle backstage, who is taping up his knee for tonight's match. Sting says he needs a minute, and closes the door on the camera guy.

Tara and Gail Kim trash talk Taryn Terrell for being all over the new Knockouts website. They argue over who should be the Knockouts of the Month, but agree that they have to embarrass Mickie James in their tag team match later on tonight. 

Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring, but D'Lo Brown says beating him just won't be enough. He says the following match…is an "I Quit" Match.

Kurt Angle vs. D'Lo Brown

Angle immediately gets the Ankle Lock in on D'Lo, who refuses to quit. The Aces & Eights make their way down to ringside, but Ken Anderson makes them stop as D'Lo gets back up and hits Angle from behind. They fight to the outside, and Brown throws the gold medalist off the ring post, twice. The brawl around ringside, and D'Lo brings the action back into the ring and locks in a Cross Armbar, but Kurt refuses to subit. Angle counters the move into an Ankle Lock attempt, but Brown powers out and takes him down with a clothesline.

D'Lo gets a side headlock, but Angle powers out with a suplex, followed by a five straight German suplexes. D'Lo with a Samoan Drop out of nowhere, and both men slowly make their way back up to a vertical position. He motions for a powerbomb, but Angle rolls through and applies the Ankle Lock! D'Lo tries to roll through, but Angle has it locked in tight with a grapevine. D'Lo taps out, but apparently that doesn't count. He scream out "I QUIT" and this match is over. 

Winner: Kurt Angle
