WWE to Host Bret Hart Appreciation Night on Raw, Matt Hardy Coming to the Bay Area

WWE has announced the May 27th edition of Monday Night Raw as Bret Hart appreciation night. Both “The Hitman” and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels are expected to make appearances that night, according to a report by the Wrestling Observer. Raw is live from Calgary, Canada that night making it both an easy trip for Bret, and an ideal location for WWE.

HBK will have his own appreciation night on May 24th at a Raw-brand live event in Salt Lake City, UT. According to recent reports, WWE is trying to beef up their events in the coming month due to the limited ability of John Cena and the absence of CM Punk.

Matt Hardy Coming to the Bay Area

The following is a release from M. Jacobson of All Pro Wrestling:

HAYWARD, CA;
Multi time WWE title holder and world renowned wrestling superstar Matt Hardy is set to make his All Pro Wrestling debut on FRIDAY night MAY 17th at 7:30PM as part of the company’s annual LUCKY 7 event held at the ‘world famous’ APW Garage in Hayward, CA.

Implemented in 2012, LUCKY 7 is a one night single elimination tournament in which one LUCKY individual will receive an automatic advance into the second round of the tournament — thus eliminating the disadvantage of having to possibly compete three times in order to emerge victorious. The winner of the LUCKY 7 tournament has the ability to cash in a championship opportunity at any time of his choosing in the remaining calendar year.

All Pro Wrestling has been in business for over twenty-two years and is California’s oldest active independent promotion and training facility. Featured in the critically acclaimed documentary “Beyond The Mat” and home of the “King of Indies” (events which were admittedly responsible as the inspiration of ROH) — APW has housed, farmed and groomed many of the industries top stars including: Daniel Bryan, Frankie Kazarian, LowKi, John Cena, Samoa Joe, Brian Kendrick, AJ Styles, Spike Dudley, Crash Holly, The Great Khali, Bison Smith and Sara Del Ray.
