WWE Smackdown Results (5/24) – Curtis Axel’s SD Debut, Miz/Barrett IC Title Match, The Shield Continues Their Winning Ways

Bill Pritchard

Daniel Bryan is shown preparing for his match when Kane enters, and Bryan looks annoyed and Kane says he understands what Bryan is feeling. He says they are still a team and they both lost, but Bryan says Kane is implying they lost because he's the weak link and it's what everyone thinks. Bryan screams that he's not the weak link, then he leaves the locker room as Kane goes to respond, but shakes his head in frustration.

Jack Swagger (w/ Zeb Colter) vs Daniel Bryan (w/ Kane)

Bryan goes right after Swagger with some right hands, then Swagger shoves him in the corner but Bryan fights back with a clothesline that sends Swagger to the floor. Bryan follows with a suicide dive and soem kicks to the chest, then he rolls Swagger back in and connects with a missile dropkick for two. He hits the ropes but Swagger pops up and clotheslines him, then he picks Bryan up on his shoulder and slams him into the turnbuckles. Swagger puts him in the tree of woe position and knees him in the ribs, then Swagger taunts him as we go to a break. We get back to see Bryan avoid a corner attack, then both men collide mid ring but Bryan jumps up and hits a corner dropkick and several kicks to the chest.

Bryan follows with another running dropkick for two, then he repeatedly kicks Swagger in the chest until Swagger blocks one and slams him on the mat. Swagger picks him up and goes for a gutwrench slam, but Bryan floats over and tries for the NO Lock, only to have Swagger counter with the Patriot Lock. Bryan counters out of the hold, then Swagger slams him down and goes for a Swagger Bomb, but Bryan rolls away and repeatedly kicks Swagger in the head and makes him tap to the NO Lock. Bryan refuses to let go until Kane and a ref pull him away, then he celebrates a bit before getting mad and putting Swagger back in the hold. Kane pulls him back again and tries to calm him, but Bryan just pumps his arms and starts a yes chant before leaving.

Winner – Daniel Bryan
