According to a report by WWE Examiner, that was later picked up by the Huffington Post, WWE Superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson might appear alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the highly anticipated continuation of the Terminator franchise. The report, which has yet to be confirmed by The Rock, or any party associated with the film currently in development, indicates that a script is being produced specifically for the former WWE Champion.
The Great One is no stranger to making appearances in established series, starring in multiple box office success this year alone, including G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Fast & Furious 6. The Rock and "The Governator" worked together briefly in a cameo for Johnson's 2003 film, The Rundown. It is likely they maintain a professional relationship due to their mutual interest and connection with WWE.
Filming for Terminator 5 is scheduled to begin in late January of 2014, but deadlines for the film are far from set in stone. If WWE had plans to bring back The Rock for a run leading up to WrestleMania, the film would likely conflict with the January Royal Rumble pay-per-view, as well as Elimination Chamber in February.
