World Championship Match No DQ Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio – Winner Alberto Del Rio

Cody Rhodes had some great heat and really played to the crowd.  This was an okay match, but Sin Cara didn’t do a lot of high flying which was rather disappointing.

Kaitlyn had essentially a dead reaction.  She got some cheers which was probably a carry over from her autograph signing earlier in the day.  AJ had a lot of heat, but also a lot of pops, which was funny when compared to the reaction given to Kaitlyn.  Big E. walked AJ to the ring and caught her when she was hit off the apron.  It was rather upsetting that he didn’t get to wrestle as a lot of people wanted to see him compete since he played football here awhile back.

Damien Sandow made the crowd laugh and did some great talking to the crowd, but going against the Great Khali put a damper on this match.

Orton and Barret had a great match, and the crowd was really behind Orton as it seemed everyone there wanted to see him.  Barret got some heat, but it seemed to mainly be because the crowd was behind Orton.  Orton then hung out and signed autographs and shook hands after his match leading into intermission.

Gabriel and Cesaro was kind of a dead match.  The crowd yelled at Cesaro the whole time, and Gabriel mounted next to no offense which also made this a poor match.  What offense there was, was rather sloppy.  Lots of headlocks from Cesaro onto Gabriel.

The Tag Match was not great.  The Usos signed autographs earlier in the day and the fans cheered for them when the Usos told them to, but other than that the crowd was screaming at Slater.  I give Slater a lot of credit for this as he carried the match and pandered to the crowd extremely well.  Slater made the match funny, especially as one minute into the match the crowd was screaming for Ziggler.  I honestly feel that I’ve under estimated Slater a great deal on his ability in the ring and to connect with the crowd on any level.

Ziggler and Del Rio was a great match.  We got to see Ziggler go through a table and the use of a kendo stick used on both men.  In the end though after Ziggler hit the Zig Zag, Ricardo hit Ziggler with the bucket and threw Del Rio over Ziggler for the win.  Ziggler hung out and shook hands and signed autographs after his match.

Not the greatest house show, but for what it was we made the best of it.
