TNA Removes Inactive Titles from Website; History of the Knockouts Tag Team Championship

Mike Killam

Gail KimTNA has removed the Knockouts Tag Team titles from ImpactWrestling.com. Eric Young and ODB won the belts in October of 2011, and "officially" held them for 478 days before returning the titles to Brooke Hogan on the June 20th episode of Impact Wrestling. That would technically make them the longest reigning champions in the history of TNA or Impact Wrestling.

There were only nine teams to ever hold the TNA Knockouts Tag Team championships since their inception in 2009, with Madison Rayne having the distinction of being the only Knockout to attain them twice – once with the Beautiful People, and another time alongside Gail Kim. The titles were vacated twice, due to the contractual releases of both Awesome Kong (Kharma) and Hamada.
